The Berlin Kunstkammer goes back to Elector Joachim II (r. 1535 to 1571). Two inventories from 1603 and 1605 show that it kept objects from all areas of nature, human art products as well as scientific instruments, i.e. Naturalia, Artificialia and Scientifica.
