The Komos was a ritualised and ecstatic procession to kithara and flute music. Its participants, the komasts, commemorated Dionysus in this way - befuddled by the copious consumption of wine - usually as part of the Dionysia or Anthesteria. (AVS)

Die nachlässige Bemalung der Figuren und Ornamente verhindert eine eindeutige Zuweisung zu einer Werkstatt. Es ist anznehmen, dass es sich um eine lokale Imitation der rotfigurigen apulischen Keramik handelt.
