Biography
Hausmaler active in Pressnitz, Bohemia (now Přísečnice, Czech Republic). He decorated wares (often older porcelain from Meissen Porcelain Factory) with pastoral or genre scenes, sometimes decorating the borders with bunches of flowers. There is a plaque signed 'Francisicus Ferdi: Mayer. Pinxit d. 15 Juny.1752', in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, C.117-1937.
