Medaille der Waffenbrüderschaft der 1. Stufe (Gold) mit rechteckiger Interimsspange. Die Medaille wurde zum 10. Jahrestag der NVA am 17. Februar 1966 gestiftet und bis zur Auflösung der DDR 1990 verliehen. Soldaten wie auch Zivilpersonen konnten sie erhalten für ihre Verdienste um die Festigung der Beziehungen zwischen den verbündeten Armeen. Die Medaille wurde sehr häufig vergeben.
