Letizia Bonaparte (1750-1836)

"Maria-Letizia Buonaparte[a] (née Ramolino;[b] 24 August 1750 (or 1749[c]) – 2 February 1836), known as Letizia Bonaparte, was a Corsican noblewoman, mother of Napoleon I of France. She became known as “Madame Mère” after the proclamation of the Empire. She spent her latter years in Rome where she died in February 1836.
