Puebloan peoples

"The Puebloans or Pueblo peoples, are Native Americans in the Southwestern United States who share common agricultural, material, and religious practices. Pueblo, which means "village" in Spanish, was a term originating with the Colonial Spanish, who used it to refer to the people's particular style of dwelling.

When Spaniards entered the area beginning in the 16th century founding Nuevo México, they came across complex, multi-story Pueblo villages built of adobe, stone and other local materials. New Mexico contains the most federally recognized Pueblo communities, but some Pueblo communities can be found in Arizona and Texas, mostly in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and along the Rio Grande and Colorado rivers and their tributaries." - (en.wikipedia.org 11.08.2021)
