C.A. Steinheil & Söhne in München war eine in der Astronomie und Fotografie bekannte Firma für Teleskope, Kameraobjektive und andere optische Gräte.
1855 kam Steinheil einem persönlichen Wunsch des bayrischen Königs Max II. nach und gründete eine optische Werkstätte in Schwabing, die spätere Optisch-astronomische Anstalt C. A. Steinheil & Söhne.
