Description

Zu sehen sind die Überreste des Circus Maximus im Vordergrund, im Hintergrund kann der Palatin mit weiteren antiken Ruinen erkannt werden.

Bez.: Vestgij del Circo Massimo che fu cosi cognominato dalla sua grandezza perche era maggiore degl’altri che fossero in Roma, et non fu per altro ordinato detto circo che per celebrarvi varie maniere di giuochi et di caccie. Vi si vede anchor oggidi verstigii di tutto il sitto dove erano: li gradi da siedere il populo a vedere detti giochi come ne dimostra il segno. A nel segno. B. furono le carcere del Circo. C. vie sotto terra uno obelisco rotto ch’era in mezo al sopra detto circo. D. e’parte de laqua Crabra che serve oggidi ad innaquare il giardino che vi e’E. e’il monte Aventino. F. il monte palatino.
