Φαῖδρος Ἀθηνοδώρωι τῶι ἀδελφῶι χαίρειν καὶ ἐρρωμένωι ἄριστʼ ἐπανάγειν ὡς βούλομαι Λεύκιος ἀνὴρ ἀγαθὸς ἀναπλέων εἰς τὸν Ἡρακλεοπολίτην ἐπὶ εἴσπραξιν ἰδίων κερματίων ἄνωθέν μοι ὢν φίλος ἠρώτησεν συστῆσαιοὗ στήσαιμιοὗ στῆσαι αὐτὸν εἴ τισιν ἔχοιμι ἐκεῖσεκαὶ εἰ ἐχοίμην σε ἐν τοῖς ἐκεῖεἴ τισιν ἔχειν ἐκεῖ σε φίλοις· οὐχ ὁρῶν οὖν ἐν τῶι παρόντι ἄλλον ἀ νώτερόνἀνότερόν σου ὡρμήθην γράψας παρακαλέσαι σε εἰ ἄρα ἔτι ἔστιν τίς σοι μνήμημνήμην ἡμῶν - εἰκὸς δʼ ἔστιν - συνεπισχῦσαι τῷ ἀνδρὶτἀνδρὶοὖν ἐπισχῖσαι τʼ ἀνδρεῖα καὶ φροντίσαι ἐν οἷς ἐάν σου χρήσηι ἐν τῶι τῆς ἐπιδημίας χρόνωι· πείθομαι γὰρ αὐτόν τέ σοι εὐαρεστήσειν ἐμὲ οὐχ ἧττον αἰσθησόμενον τὸ ἔκ σου σπουδαῖον· τὰ δʼ ἄλλα σεαυτοῦ καὶ τοῦ ὑγιαίνειν ἐπιμέλου ἔρρωσο· ἔτους κ Καίσαρος Παχὼν β̅
