Description

Tamystha, Tochter des Kenthnuphis, schreibt eine Petition an eine Behörde. Nach dem Tod ihres Vaters hat sie seinen Anteil an Immobilien und an einem Dattelpalmenhain geerbt. Ihr Onkel Panetbes und ihre Cousine Thaesis haben aber von ihrem Erbteil Besitz ergriffen. Sie haben die Tat damit begründet, dass sie das Land bebauen möchten, was Tamystha als alleinstehender und kinderloser Frau nicht erlaubt wäre. Sie ersucht nun darum, dass der Stratege davon informiert wird, damit sie ihr Eigentum zurückbekommen kann.

τῶι κρατίστωι παρὰ Ταμύσθας Κενθνούφεως κους ἀπὸ κώμης Θερενούθεως τοῦ Προ σωπείτου νομοῦ. τοῦ πατρός μου, κύριε, τελευτήσαντος καὶ καταλιπόντος μοι τὸ ἐπιβάλλον αὐτῷ μέρος οἰκοπέδων καὶ φοινικῶνος ἐν Σκίθι πατρικῶν αὐτοῦ ὄντων, ὁ τούτου ἀδελφὸς Πανετβῆς καὶ Θαῆσις Πατερμούθεως ἀνεψιά μου βι αίως ἀντιλαμβάνονται τοῦ πατρικοῦ μου μέρους προφάσει γεωργίας βασιλικῆς γῆς, εἰς ἣν γυνὴ οὖσα οὐκ ὀφείλω καθέλ κεσθαι κατὰ τὰ ὑπὸ τῶν ἡγεμόνων καὶ ἐπιτρόπων περὶ τούτου διατεταγμένα, ἐπεὶ καὶ ἄτεκνός εἰμι καὶ οὐδὲ ἐμαυτῆι ἀπαρκεῖν δύναμαι. ἀξιῶ οὖν, κύριε, ἐάν σου τῇ τύχῃ δόξῃ, κελεῦσαι γραφῆναι τῷ τοῦ νομοῦ στρατηγῷ ἐπαναγκάσαι αὐ τοὺς τὸ πατρικόν μοι μέρος ἀποκαταστῆ σαι, τὴν δὲ γεωργίαν ὑπό τε τοῦ Πανε τβήους καὶ τῶν τῆς Θαήσιος τέκνων γί νεσθαιγείνεσθαι, ἵνʼ ὦ εὐεργετημένη. διευτύχει.
