Bodendorf (Bad Bodendorf) war bis zur Gebietsreform eine eigenständige Gemeinde mit Ortsbürgermeister und Gemeinderat. 1953 wurde Jupp Schuld nach der Gemeinderatswahl von Bürgermeister Bauer zum Beigeordneten und damit zum Ehrenbeamten ernannt.
