Die Interton VC 4000 ist die einzige in Deutschland entwickelte Videospielkonsole. Sie basiert auf den 8-Bit Mikroprozessor 2650A von Signetics und erschien erstmalig im Jahr 1978 zum Preis von 398 DM im Quelle Katalog. Auf der Oberseite des Plastikgehäuses befindet sich der Aufnahmeschacht für das Steckmodul für die Spiele (5 Spiele sind erhalten geblieben) und diverse Tasten zur Steuerung des Geräts. Zwei, jeweils etwa 200 Gramm schwere Controller können zum Spielen den entsprechenden Gehäusemulden entnommen werden. In den als Verpackung genutzten Styroporschalen befindet sich noch die Anleitung sowie das zugehörige Netzteil.
