Das Bügeleisen aus Messing hat einen Holzgriff. Der hohle Körper ist unten flach und oben halbrund. Er läuft nach vorne spitz zu. Meistens wurde ein dazugehöriger Bolzen erhitzt und von hinten in das Bügeleisen geschoben und dieses mit einer Klappe verschlossen. Der Bolzen lag auf kleinen "Schienen" auf und wurde wegen seiner Form oft alsd "Ochsenzunge" bezeichnet. Er ist nicht erhalten.
