Description

Römische Knie-Bronzefibel, verzinnt, Teil des Bügels und Verschlussnadel abgebrochen. Rückseitig Rest der Spiralfeder der Verschlussnadel und Nadelbefestigung.
Der Kopf wird aus einem halben Rundschild gebildet, das am Rand umlaufend und um den Ansatz des Bügels, ein Wolfszahn-Muster aufweist. Schmaler, rundlicher Bügel entspringt unten, auf der Schildvorderseite und besitzt unterhalb des Knies einen Wulst. Am Wulst ist er abgebrochen.

Römisch, 2.— 3. Jahrhundert n. Chr.

Fundort: Feldgemarkung, östlich von Grünstadt.

Altbestand des 1903 gegründeten Altertumsvereins Grünstadt.
