Der Zerstäuber hat eine zylindrische Grundform und verjüngt sich vom Boden zur Mündung. Am Mündungsrand ist ein waagerechtes Blasrohr befestigt. Das Mundstück aus Plastik (weiß/grau) ist nur aufgestülpt. Der Zerstäuber stammt aus der DDR-Produktion der 1950er Jahre. Der Zerstäuber dient dem Imker zum Verteilen von Wasser, damit sich die Bienen auf den Waben halten. Da sie durch die Nässe schwerer sind und auskühlen, fliegen sie kaum auf. Das Zerstäuben ist daher eine Alternative zum Rauch.
