That silver goblet has a bell-shaped bowl. Outer surface of the bowl is decorated with three engraved medallions. In one there is an image of a lush, lotus-like flower with a stem. The other two have the image of a three-petalled flower among winding shoots. Under the rim there is a horizontal ornamental strip of a winding stem. The same ornamental strip decorates the bottom of the foot.
Tableware of precious metals in the Golden Horde culture were ginen as a reward and marked social status. Koumiss, wine and other alcoholic drinks were drunk from such dishes during various ceremonies and banquets. It was also used in funeral rituals by placing it in graves next to the dead.
The goblet was brought into the museum by prominent Ukrainian patrons Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko. It originate from Kyiv.
