Ein Sack mit Rübchen an der Hand der Puppe verweist auf den wohlhabenden Rübenbauer der Magdeburger Börde. Doch die Tracht erinnert auch an Leineweber, die in Magdeburg-Buckau über Jahrhunderte ansässig waren. Sie zogen über Land und verkauften ihre Tuche. Dabei schützte der Leineweberhut – ein flach gewölbter, breitkrempiger Filzhut – vor Wind und Wetter. Typisch sind zudem der lange Leinenmantel und die rote Leinenweste. Hose und Gamaschen der Puppe sind ebenfalls aus Leinen genäht.
