Das längliche, trapezförmige Mangelbrett aus massivem Holz diente zum Beschweren und Glätten von Wäsche. Das angefeuchtete Wäschestück wurde fest um ein Rollholz gewickelt, das mittels Druck mit dem Mangelbrett auf dem Tisch hin und her bewegt wurde. Die Familie Reimer übergab das Mangelbrett zusammen mit einem Vierkantholz (Inv. Nr. V 11506 H) dem Museum Brandenburg im Jahr 1988.
