Das Holzbrett ist von einem Eisenblech umspannt. Lange, handgeschmiedete Vierkantnägel sind in mehreren Reihen von der Unterseite her durch das Blech und Brett geschlagen. In die Metallverkleidung der Brettkanten sind X- und Pfeilformen und einerseits das Monogramm „EH“ in eckigen Klammern, andererseits die Datierung „18 A X K 73“ eingehämmert. Die Löcher mit rautenförmigen Eisenbeschlägen dienen zur Befestigung des Hechels in das Hechelgestell. Der Holzdeckel schützt das Nagelbrett. Metallblech sowie Nägel sind stark verrostet.
