Der 90° Bogen aus Borsilicatglas besitzt in der Krümmung einen Auslass, der - je nach Strömungsrichtung - exakt in bzw. rechtwinklig zur Strömung liegt. Alle Anschlüsse sind als geschliffene, konvexe Kugelflansche ausgeführt. Das Rohr trägt den eingeätzten Markennamen 'Rasotherm', der 1950 von den VEB Jenaer Glaswerk Schott & Genossen für dieses technische Spezialglas eingeführt wurde.
