Tüllenspitzen werden aus den Röhrenknochen von Schafen und Ziegen hergestellt. Für die Spitze wird ein Ende des Knochens schräg abgetrennt. Da bei dem Großteil der Stücke Hinweise auf eine klare Funktionszuweisung fehlen, wird ihre Verwendung kontrovers diskutiert. Häufig wird eine Benutzung als Lanzenspitze oder Pfriem angenommen. Die Objektgruppe tritt ab dem Neolithikum bis zur älteren römischen Kaiserzeit und im Frühmittelalter auf. Ein markanter Schwerpunkt liegt in der vorrömischen Eisenzeit. Die Tüllenspitze aus Großwusterwitz besitzt eine im Querschnitt dreikantige Tülle (Typ 1), in der sich am Ende zwei Fehlstellen finden.
