Die Balkanreise im Sommer 1938 führte den Dorfpfarrer Karl Groß aus Brandenburg nach Bulgarien. Dieses Bild betitelte er mit "Blick auf Mariza-Seen". Mit etwas Mühe ist einer der Seen aus denen die Mariza im Rila-Gebirge entspringt, zu erkennen.
