Fünfblättrige Blüten und herzförmige Laubblätter wirken in diesem Dekor wie spielerisch über die Fläche des breiten mittleren, horizontalen Streifens verteilt. Eine Verbindung der Pflanzenteile besteht mit Bändern, die als stilisierte Stengel oder Triebe der Blume zu deuten sind. Die Breite dieser Bänder entspricht jedoch weniger einem botanischen Vorbild sondern stellt eher einen Anklang an Mäandermotive am Fries antiker Bauwerke dar. Die glatten Bordüren stehen mit der Assoziation eines architektonischen Motivs in Einklang.
