Professor Julius von Michel (*05.07.1843 Frankenthal/Pfalz; +29.11.1911 Berlin) war ein Kollege von Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen in Würzburg. Die Rückseite des Fotos trägt die Widmung "Dem verehrten Entdecker der Röntgenstrahlen in frischer Berliner Auflage J. Michel Mai 1902".
