Das 1898 in Ebersbach gründete Acethylenwerk des Kaufmanns Eugen Zinser produzierte zunächst Acetylenentwickler zur Beleuchtung von Hotels, Klöstern und Schulen. Ab 1904 wurden neben Niederdruckentwicklern auch Schweiß- und Schneidbrenner gefertigt. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg firmierte die Firma unter dem Namen "Autogenwerk Zinser". 1972 wurde mit der Produktion von Schutzgasschweißanlagen begonnen.
