Description

The warrior basket is made of woven plant fibre and decorated with tufts of grass, tufts of wool, a skull and wooden heads. It is a ceremonial basket and would be carried, for example, as part of dance rituals associated with headhunting. The skulls indicate that its owner was a successful headhunter.
