Es handelt sich um einen Siegelabguss aus rotem Wachs, der mit einer gelben Schnur versehen wurde. Er hat eine spitzovale Form. Auf der Rückseite des Abgusses ist ein Aufkleber angebracht mit der Transkritption der Inschrift auf dem Siegel: Engelbert I. Erzbischof von Köln 1218 II-3
