Das Werk zeigt im Vordergrund einen schwarzen Vogel am Boden, der sich zum Flug bereitmacht. Umgeben ist der Vogel von einer grünen Landschaft und einem Fluss im Mittelgrund. Das Bild wurde zerschnitten und neu zusammengesetzt. Etwas links gehalten wurde mit langen Streifen ein Kreuz auf das gemalte geklebt. Sign. u. dat. i. B. u. r.: "Agathe Böttcher 12.9.94"
