Zu sehen ist das Marcellus-Theater, dessen antike Strukturen von der modernen Stadtbebaung eingefasst werden.

Bez.: Vestigij del Theatro che fu edficato da Augusto in nome di Marcello suo nipote, quale fu di bellissa maniera d’architetura, secondo li vestigij che vi si vedono, parte intierie, e parte consumati dal fuoco, et dal tempo fu questo Theatro grande e spatiose dentro di quello potevano stare a vedere i giochi, che ivi si facevano LXXX milia persone. sopra le sue rouine e’edificato il palazzo de Signori Savelli, e oggidi si chiama volgarmente quella contrada piazza montanara.
