This is a fragment of edge (lyshtva) belonging to the product made of thin linen canvas, embroidered with multi-colored silk and metallized gold threads. The rich floral ornament is composed of a strip of S-shaped motifs. A creeping green branch is decorated with stylized roses, periwinkles, and bells. In the 17th and 18th centuries local workshops creatively reinterpreted and supplemented textile ornaments from Italy and Spain, remaking them to suit the tastes and preferences of the Cossack nobility.
