Auf dem Aquarell ist das Pappische Tor in Grimma abgebildet. Es ist eines der fünf Stadttore gewesen und stand zwischen Schulstraße und Wallgraben. Es war das älteste Tor der Stadt und wurde als letztes 1888 abgetragen. Als Vorlage diente dem Maler sicher ein altes Foto. Im Vordergrund ist ein Pferdegespann mit einem Planwagen zu sehen.
