Seit 1903 stellten die Wanderer-Werke Schreibmaschinen her. Neben Maschinen vom Typ Standard kamen in den Folgejahren auch Maschinen mit Breitwagen für Papier im Querformat oder auch zur Beschriftung von Zeichnungen sowie kleine so genannte Reiseschreibmaschinen für den privaten Gebrauch auf den Markt. Diese mechanische Schreibmaschine Continental Standard trägt die Maschinennummer "131340" sowie vorderseitig ein großes Bild mit der Firmenansicht und "CONTINENTAL - WANDERER WERKE A.G. CHEMNITZ".
