Die 1899 von William Lever gegründete Seifenfabrik Sunlicht in Mannheim führte 1911 das Scheuerpulber VIM ein. Die Seifenfabrik gehürte zu dieser Zeit zu den größten in Europa. Die Marke VIM gab es bis 2000.
