Eine ostdeutsche Jubiläumsbriefmarke zum 40. Jahrestages der Befreiung vom Faschismus. Die Briefmarke wurde im Jahr 1985 vom Grafiker Hans Detlefsen entworfen. Die rote Briefmarke hat eine Abbildung der Monumentalstatue des sowjetischen Ehrenmals in Berliner Treptower Park. Der Soldat mit dem Kind auf dem Arm und das zerschlagene Hakenkreuz symbolisieren die Befreiung des deutschen Volkes vom Nationalsozialismus.
