Das Bild stammt von Nicolas Poussin, einem Maler des klassizistichen Barock.
Dargestellt ist eine Landschaft am Meer.
Am Ufer neben einer Amphore sitzen drei Frauen. Links an einen Stein gelehnt sitzt ein Mann. Rechts in den Büschen hält sich ein Satyr auf und beobachtet die Frauen.
Auf dem Land dahinter arbeiten einige Bauern.
Im Hintergrund erheben sich zwei Berge. Auf dem rechten sitzt eine große Person.
Links ist das Meer und eine dahinterliegende Stadt zu sehen.
