Description

Die Erinnerungsmedaille von 1896 zeigt Avers: Gekröntes Adlerwappen, umlaufend in einer Schriftrolle steht: "ERINNERUNG A. D. GEDENKFEIER D. KRIEGSFREIWILLIGEN D. GARDE. 18./19. JANUAR 1896".
Revers ist in der Mitte der Hohe Orden vom Schwarzen Adler abgebildet, um den Adler oberhalb steht: "SUUM CUIQUE" unterhalb ist ein Lorbeerkranz zu sehen.
Die Umschrift lautet:: "DULCHE ET DECORUM EST PRO PATRIA MORI. 1870/71 - 1895/96".
Am oberen Rand ist eine Öse .
Der Rand ist glatt
