Die vorliegende Lithographie wurde von einem unbekannten Künstler nach einem Gemälde von Carle Vernet hergestellt. Da Vernet selber ebenfalls Lithographien anfertigte, ist nicht auszuschließen, dass er vielleicht diese Lithographie gemacht hat.
Von Rechts erkennt man im Vordergrund ein über ein Zaun setzendes Pferd mit einem Peitsche schwingenden Reiter. Sechs Hunde begleiten ihn auf der Jagd. Im Hintergrund links wachsen vereinzelt ein paar Bäume.
