Die vorliegende Lithographie wurde von einem unbekannten Künstler nach einem Gemälde von Carle Vernet hergestellt. Da Vernet selber ebenfalls Lithographien anfertigte, ist nicht auszuschließen, dass er vielleicht diese Lithographie gemacht hat.
In der Bildmitte mit einer Peitsche schwingend in der rechten Hand treibt ein Reiter sein Pferd an. Links im Vordergrund versucht ein Hund durch ein Zaun zu kommen, um seiner Beute nachzujagen. Im Hintergrund rechts folgen zwei weitere Reiter über das Feld.
