Description

Die Falle, eine etwa 5 cm große Dose aus Holz, Bambus oder Elfenbein geschnitzt, war mit einem Schraubdeckel versehen und mit einem blutgetränkten Wattebausch und etwas Bienenhonig gefüllt. Die vom Menschenblut angelockten Flöhe schlüpften durch die Spalten des Fässchens und blieben am Honig kleben. Wurde unter dem Unterrock, z.B. im Biedermeier, von vornehmen Damen getragen.
