Description

Das Tempelmodell besteht aus drei einzelnen, zusammensetzbaren Teilen: dem Monopteros auf weißem, unten angeklebten Marmorsockel, der Cella und dem Dach. Die Säulen tragen korinthische Kapitelle in verkürzter Darstellung. Der damals als Vesta-Tempel gedeutete Rundtempel auf dem Forum Boarium am Tiber un Rom gehörte zu den beliebtesten Motiven der Italienreisenden in Malerei und Graphik. Das Alabastermodell ist ein typisches Reisesouvenir des 18. und 19. Jahrhunderts.
