Das Gemälde zeigt eine Gebirgslandschaft. Rechts steht ein Gehöft umringt von Bäumen. Zwei Leute bewegen sich gerade mit einem Pferd oder Esel auf das Gehöft zu. In der rechten unteren Bildecke sieht man mit Sträuchern bewachsene Felsen. Der Himmel ist blau mit einigen weißen Wolken.
