Das Gemälde zeigt einen Burghof. Links im Bild sieht man einen Baum, hinter dem ein Burgturm hervorragt. Von diesem Turm verläuft ein Wehrgang nach rechts, wo sich das Burghaus mit einem weiteren Turm befindet. Unten mittig im Bild verläuft ein Weg zu einem Tor in der Burgmauer.

Unten links befindet sich die Signatur: E. Hallstein.
