Die Hohenzollern Denkmünze, hat oben eine angelötete Öse mit Bandring.
Avers: Ist eine Abbildung des königlichenHausordens der Hohenzollern mit Mittelschild, umlaufend "VOM – FELS – ZUM – MEER" in der Mitte nch links blickender Adler.

Revers: Am Rand ein Schriftring mit der Umschrift "SEINEN BIS IN DEN TOD GETREUEN KRIEGERN".
In der Mitte zwischen 2 waagerechten Linien darin steht: FRIEDRICH // WILHELM IV. Darüber "1848" und darunter "1849"
