Das Medley umfasst die Songs "The lark was up, the morn was grey"; "Only one poor soldier"; "For women are whimsical changeable things"; "In seeking a fair one I found to my smart"; "Ah! hapless hapless day when first I saw fair Biddy"; "But now my hopes are over"; "As on the ground he lay, Minerva came that way"; "Don’t be stupid drive away Cupid"; "Soldier go home"; "The soldier then roused from his amourous sloth"; "Ye belles & flirts so smart & fair"; "Hold your prating i’dle tongue" und "Then ground your arms ye sons of war".
Das Notenblatt enthält die Sologesangsstimme mit Continuobegleitung und beziffertem Generalbass. Es ist überliefert im sog. "Pleasure-Gardens-Konvolut", einer Sammlung von überwiegend gedruckten Notenblättern, wie sie in den Londoner Vergnügungsparks in der Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts verwendet wurden. Die Melodien sind nicht identisch mit den Songs auf den gleichen Text in der Ausgabe von Thompson, dem vorhergehenden Blatt im Konvolut.
