Description

Das Rotorspinnverfahren (spindelloses Spinnen) wurde in den späten 1940er Jahren von Julius Meimberg (1917-2012) erfunden. Von den führenden Spinnmaschinenherstellern weiter entwickelt, kam das Rotorspinnen in den 1970 Jahren in der Baumwollspinnerei in zunehmenden Maße zum Einsatz. Durch entsprechende Anpassung des Verfahrens wurden bei der J.F. Adolff AG auf Rotorspinnmaschinen auch Streichgarne und Langstapelgarne erzeugt.
Das Schnittmodell eines Rotorspinnkopfes, das bei der Lehrlingsausbildung in der Spinnerei F. J. Adolff zum Einsatz kam, ist eine Spende des Spinnereimaschinenbauers Rieter aus Ingolstadt.
