Dieses Modell einer Schnitterkaserne sollte zur Anschauung der Lebens- und Arbeitsverhältnisse vor der Einführung der sozialistischen Landwirtschaft dienen. Eine Schnitterkaserne diente der Unterbringung von Saisonarbeitern in der Landwirtschaft zur Erntezeit, diese hier für die Landarbeiter in Germersleben bei Magdeburg. Dieses Modell ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es durch das abnehmbare Dach einen Einblick in die Wohnsituation und auf die Inneneinrichtung erlaubt.
