Unter einem Kalorimeter versteht man ein Messgerät zur Bestimmung des Heizwertes von Gasen.
Das 1892 von Hugo Junkers zum Patent angemeldete Kalorimeter war der Ausgangspunkt für alle weiteren wärmetechnischen Geräte, die er entwickelte und herstellte.
