Bei der ETS 125 handelt es sich um ein Serienfahrzeug aus der Produktion des MZ-Werkes in Zschopau. Als Ablösung der MZ ES 150 erhielt die MZ ETS 125 einen Motor mit 10,0 PS, eine Teleskopgabel vorn und weichere Federn hinten sowie eine andere Tank-Optik. Verkauft wurden ausschließlich Fahrzeuge mit Sitzbank. Gefertigt wurde nur in den Farben Rot/Schwarz und Gelb/Schwarz, jedoch immer mit schwarzem Rahmen. Wahlweise konnte diese MZ mit flachem oder hohem Lenker geordert werden.
Zwischen 1969 und 1973 wurden nur 4860 Stück dieses Typs gefertigt. Der Verkaufspreis betrug 2350,00 Mark (DDR).
