Der "Elfer-Deutz" leitete 1936 als Bauernschlepper die Motorisierung der klein- und mittelbäuerlichen Betriebe ein und war bis 1950 mit über 19.000 produzierten Exemplaren eines der erfolgreichsten Traktorenmodelle Deutschlands. Gilt als erster serienmäßig gebauter Kleinschlepper Europas und war Vorbild für viele weitere Konstruktionen.
