Description

Im April 1988 besuchte der sowjetische Kosmonaut Pawel Popowitsch die Gedenkstätte der Befreiung auf den Seelower Höhen. Während seines Besuches legte er ein Blumengebinde am Ehrenmal nieder.
Pawel Popowitsch gehörte zu den 20 Piloten der ersten Kosmonautengruppe der Sowjetunion, die 1960 für die ersten Raumflüge ausgesucht wurden. Am 12. August 1962 war es dann soweit, er startete mit Wostock 4 ins All.
